Food Network Kitchen - Saves
Problem Summary
Although customers have the feature to save their recipes, it got complicated due to the redesign of our overall App. Saves got side-tracked. Customers couldn’t easily navigate to their saves and it was hidden under Profile. It was previously available as a primary global navigation.
Product Solution
All customers who are Signed-In will be able to intuitively save favorite recipes, episodes, on-demand classes, and collections and access them easily later with least effort.

Challenges
Saves Navigation changed, leading to new learning curve for customers.
Initially, there was uncertainty regarding some of the requirements and capabilities, so designs had to be made with assumptions, then tweaked as we got new information from other internal and external teams.

“
This app is rarely closed on my iPad and/or iPhone. I have counted on it daily since its release and keep updating my saved recipes every weekend while watching my favorite shows. So much easier than having to turn on my laptop to access food network like i had to back in the day. The only fault I can find is in myself not keeping up with my reviews of recipes which I love in the App.
I absolutely love each and every chef on this network and really appreciate all that they add to my life on a daily basis.”
